Speaking Plane

Waiting in the airport concourse as my flight is starting to board. I am assigned to board in a late zone, and it seems like the attendants are taking forever to transition toward my zone.

My watch ticks to the next minute and I can see that I have been sitting here for a half hour. They have been boarding for over 15 minutes, now. Apparently someone needs extra assistance getting onboard, and I don't begrudge them the time. I'm sure that we will still depart ontime.

As a PA starts to play, I reach for my phone to pause the podcast I'm listening to, and gasp!

How did this happen?

Did anyone see this? None mentioned it, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Did I blush? Blushing out of nowhere could make me more visible.

How can I discretely fix this?

I can't just fix it directly. But covering up will draw attention or look weird.

So I carefully set my boarding pass toward my side, while my bags are already positioned on my left, and I yank up my zipper.
