The Purple Pal

Traveling through the security gates, today, one of the agents commented ”Nice bag!”

”Yeah, my wife loves it.” With a genuine smile.

Not 10 minutes earlier, my wife commented on the fact that I am willing to travel with this bag...and that I have glitter all over my face from her lip gloss. But I digress.

As my wife said on my way into the airport, ”It just makes my heart patter every time I see you with it.”

I know.

I got used to this kind of attention from her and other people ever since we started going to the jewelry fair every few months. Someone invariably takes notice and comments on the gorgeous, purple, crock-skin bag I am using to tote the baubles and supplies. It's often obvious that I am the helper because she has a matching purse.

This bag is a large, wheeled, carry-on that its easy to identify if the gate-side attendants take it away.

But it does look a little out of place when I am running to catch a flight.

As I finished getting through security, the attendant commented, ”Where's your wife?”

”She dropped me off. I'll be back in a couple of weeks, so you might get to see the bag again.”

Grin!

  3. Be careful ... divas don't like to be shown up by men with pink bags and glitter ... no matter the swang.
